With Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park closing after Christmas day, it’s possible that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will then open in its stead.

Both water parks receive an annual refurbishment, but Typhoon Lagoon has not reopened since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Blizzard Beach remained closed for a year, finally reopening on March 7, 2021.

If Typhoon Lagoon were to reopen in late 2021, Blizzard Beach would likely reopen in the spring, with both water parks operating for the first time in two years.

Disney has not made an official announcement about the reopening of Typhoon Lagoon.
