With Creations Shop and Club Cool now open, construction in the World Celebration neighborhood of EPCOT is now focused on the new quick-service restaurant and Starbucks bakery.
Construction is visible where the temporary Mouse Gear was housed. Walls were removed from around it earlier this month.
Crew members in several cherry-picker vehicles were working on the ceiling.
The roof overhang will be repainted to match the rest of the building.
The front of the building where the temporary Mouse Gear sign was is completely gone.
It looks like this sheet of metal is Duct taped into place.
Around the corner, the breezeway is cut in half by construction walls.
Small supports are in place for future light fixtures.
Beyond the construction wall, we saw crew members working on one of the tube lights inside the building.
These are reminiscent of the old Communicore skylights.
There’s obviously plenty of work to be done before anything can open inside the building.
One of the big columns has been half painted.
During construction, the glass windows have blue painter’s tape across them.
Past the windows, we saw more crew members working on the ceiling.
On the front of the building, the overhang has been mostly repainted.
Some of the roof overhang’s supports are not quite finished.
Scaffolding remains at the corner, which is being rebuilt.
