We already tried most of the new Casey’s Corner items for the 50th anniversary of Magic Kingdom, but we’ve returned for the Pressed Penny Silk Pie.
All of the 50th anniversary items have a special logo next to them on the menu.
This dessert is inspired by the collectible pressed pennies available throughout Walt Disney World.
Pressed Penny Silk Pie – $6.49
Chocolate tart shell, silky chocolate filling, sweet whipped cream, and a chocolate-pressed penny
The crust is flaky with just enough softness.
The “pressed penny” on top had a nice snap to it, as did the pieces of milk chocolate stuck into the whipped cream.
The inside was like a rich chocolate pudding, but silky smooth, so true to its name.
This dessert is nothing particularly special or out of the ordinary, but delicious all the same and exactly as described.
We would get this again, especially when revisiting Casey’s Corner for a 50th anniversary meal.

Man, what a wasted opportunity. They could have made actual pressed coins to put on top. And there’d be multiple ones. And it would be random what you’d get. So you’d have to have it multiple times to collect all of them. What’s Chapek doing, just sitting on his ass for this?
