FIRST LOOK: Take a Look Inside the New DVC Tower at Disneyland Hotel

At the Destination D23 event held at Walt Disney World today, Imagineer Bhavna Mistry took the stage alongside Disney Parks President Josh D’Amaro to reveal a look inside the upcoming Disney Vacation Club tower coming to the Disneyland Hotel.

This artist’s concept has been revealed already, but a slightly updated version was shown today. Gone are the honeycomb-style decorative panels on the end. The new panels feature Tinker Bell. The new look takes us down to see the pool area that will be at the base of the tower.

The pool, Mistry said, will be based on an artist’s palette.

Inside the rooms, the design aesthetic is heavily influenced by an animator’s process. For much of the design, the Imagineers studied the techniques of Walt Disney himself.

This room was inspired by 1959’s “Sleeping Beauty,” with individual elements and concept art used for the aesthetic, as well as the headboard. And the color palette of the room is taken from the film as well.

No opening date for the tower was announced, but further details were promised for the future.

  1. So, are any of us concerned that these are going to be resort villas like the cheap GF remodel they are doing and not have the full kitchenette?
