At the Destination D23 event today, it was announced that the Festival of Fantasy parade will be returning to Magic Kingdom.
The parade has been suspended since the closure of the parks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and its return alongside many other Walt Disney World entertainment offerings is definitely welcome news.
Rumors indicate, however, that the parade may not return in full force. Many performers and the iconic Maleficent Dragon float are among those that may not return. The parade has performed without the float before (after it caught fire) but a reduction in performers may make the absence even more noticeable.
At this time, no exact date has been announced for Festival of Fantasy Parade performances to resume.
