The news account also reports that Florida has reported 32,869 new cases in that same span of time. On Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention placed Orange County in the “high” tier of case transmission just days before Christmas, one of the busiest and most crowded times of year for Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort.

In an attempt to mitigate the spread of the virus while the Omicron variant spreads throughout the United States, Universal Orlando has announced that starting tomorrow, guests and Team Members will be required to wear face coverings at all indoor locations, regardless of vaccination status, unless actively eating or drinking, as well as at all attractions. Walt Disney World has not announced any update to its safety measures as of the writing of this article.
