With just days to go until the end of Disney’s Magical Express, signage for the service is already being removed around Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

Outside of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the signs have already been replaced with ones for “Airport Shuttle Departures,” referencing the upcharge Mears Connect service that will replace Magical Express.

Without it mentioning Mears or Magical Express, this should hopefully reduce confusion for guests traveling to and from the airport over this next week.

The new sign can be found outside the main entrance canopy.

The final day of operation for Disney’s Magical Express will be Friday, December 31, with Mears Connect taking over beginning January 1, 2022. Reservations for the new service, which range from $16.00 per adult for a one-way trip to $200 for premium service for up to four guests, are now available.

  1. I’m gonna miss seeing that pilot Mickey logo. It’s one of the images most emblematic of a WDW vacation in my mind. The Magical Express was how I got to and from the resort for most of my past trips. It certainly doesn’t seem like it will be particularly difficult to make alternate arrangements for future trips…but, man, I’m really gonna miss Magical Express.

  2. The Magical Express really set the happy exciting Disney mood for us on the way to Disney World. And on the way back to the airport it gave us some Disney to go back with. Very sad to see it go.

  3. so sad. for many, the brginning of the magic was the magicexpress that the new regime at disney has decided costs them too much. maybe it will cost them customers so then they might realize the true cost?
