Florida Continues to Break COVID-19 Records, Hospitalizations Increase

Florida set a new single-day record of COVID-19 cases on December 30, 2021, with 75,902 cases, according to data from the CDC. This was the third-highest single-day number from any state during the pandemic.

In the days since December 30, case numbers have been between 39,000 and 57,000. The 7-day moving average continues to rise.

Currently, 6,623 people are hospitalized in Florida with COVID-19 with the 1,324 additional hospitalizations reported. This is less than the 17,121 hospitalizations at the peak of the Delta variant’s surge in Florida.

Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort have not announced any health and safety changes.

  1. Notice the use of wording, “Currently, 6,623 people are hospitalized in Florida with COVID-19 …”

    “… WITH Covid …”

Not, “from” or “as a result of”.

Just pointing this out as I find it interesting.
