Hogwarts Express Reopens, Rock the Universe Preparations Begin, New Grinch-Themed Candles, and More: Universal Orlando Resort Photo Report 1/24/22

Welcome to a very chilly day at the Universal Orlando Resort! We’re bundled up and ready to start our day at the parks, so let’s jump right into some updates.

Starting our day at Universal Studios Florida, we found that Sahara Traders has closed for a brief period of time.

While Revenge of the Mummy is closed for refurbishment, Sahara Traders will temporarily reopen as a Universal Monsters Tribute Store

Just across the street, Rock the Universe preparations have begun! The Coca-Cola Fan Zone has been set up on Delancey Street.

Many signs promoting the event can be found around the park.

Hogwarts Express has officially reopened! The attraction was previously closed for a week with no set reopening date. Check out the full story details here.

Chucky Loungefly wallets and backpacks have been restocked at 5 & Dime. We miss our favorite homicidal doll. Hopefully he returns for Halloween Horror Nights 2022.

Men in Black: Alien Attack was only at a ten-minute wait this morning. Have you gotten your suit yet? We’re still waiting for ours!

Thankfully, we can hop on the Hogwarts Express instead of taking the long walk over to Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Check out these new Grinch-themed candles we found at Gertrude McFuzz Fine Feathered Finery in Seuss Landing. The designs are very festive and the different smells remind us of the holiday season.

The Cat in the Hat was at a 25-minute wait. We might have to jump in line and warm up a bit!

We found the cutest Voodoo Mardi Gras inspired drawings in All Hallows Voodoo Boutique. The grumpy gator is definitely our favorite.

We spotted Popeye and Betty Boop wandering around Toon Lagoon. The cold weather won’t stop Betty from looking absolutely adorable in her signature red dress.

Crowds aren’t too bad in the streets of Marvel Super Hero Island.

Outside the delayed Doctor Doom’s Fearfall attraction, Team Members have turned to protesting! They were holding signs and chanting “All Hail Doctor Doom” as guests passed by. Are you team villains or team superheroes?
