Disney Posts Audition Calls for ‘Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue’

New listings on Disney’s career website have appeared for the “Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue” as the show prepares to make its triumphant return to Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

The auditions are being considered for performers who are local to the Orlando area for sub/casual temporary positions only, with current full-time Equity and Character Cast Members under consideration and thus not needing to audition.

Auditions have been called for the following roles in the iconic show:

Claire DeLune: Johnny’s girl; she’s adorable, lovable and flirtatious, full of life and best known for her outrageous “giggle.” Singer who dances.
Dolly Drew: Strong woman and “Annie Oakley” type. Vaudevillian style Comedian. Her mannerisms and style are less than demure. Character actor/comedienne.
Flora Long: Beautiful leading lady; sweet and petite; vocal soloist-soprano.
Jim Handy: Leader of the troupe; a leading man type; handsome, outgoing, friendly, vocal soloist-heroic bass/baritone.
Johnny Ringo: Handsome, dapper; the song and dance man; a true gentleman. Classic air of sophistication. Singer who dances.
Six Bits: A “punster”, Vaudevillian style Comedian; his brand of humor is often slapstick. Character actor/comedian.

Those interested may fill out a form on the Disney Careers site by April 1 at 3pm EDT.
