Despite still not having an official opening date for the ride, previews for the long-awaited Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction at EPCOT will start to commence in May.

Media previews for the roller coaster will occur the first week of May, followed closely by previews for Club 33 members.

If previews for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are anything like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, previews for D23 members, Disney Vacation Club members, and Annual Passholders are expected to follow shortly after Club 33.

The attraction is also expected to open during Memorial Day weekend. Last month, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Geoff Morrell tweeted then deleted the opening day news. See the tweet below.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind replaced Universe of Energy, which closed in 2017. Test footage of the attraction was released in November 2020 and we saw ride vehicles being transported to EPCOT in January 2021.

The attraction was also recently added to the EPCOT map in My Disney Experience and to the Braille map at International Gateway.

  1. Yoy even if there aren’t animations from what he sounded like it’s still going to be amazing, with nods to Ellen as well being included.

  2. There doesn’t appear to be any early previews for passholders for this ride. I guess Disney was unhappy with the poor reviews and utter disappointment and discontent from the passholders reviewing Remy that they nixed the idea wholeheartedly.
