Tumble Monkeys and Aerial Dancing Birds Returning to ‘The Festival of the Lion King’ on July 16

The tumble monkeys and aerial bird dance will return to “Festival of the Lion King” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 16, 2022.

Landon McReynolds of News 6 WKMG shared the news on Twitter.

We learned in March that the tumble monkeys and aerial dancers would be returning this year. The monkeys have been absent entirely since the show reopened as “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King,” while the birds have only been dancing on the ground.

With the full return of these two acts, the name of the show will be reverted back to simply “The Festival of the Lion King.”
