Half of Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was closed and surrounded by construction walls late last month. The walls are now gone and the ride is back to full operation.
Only half of the ride was closed during the unknown refurbishment.
We couldn’t see any obvious changes, so it may have closed only due to a minor technical issue.
Meanwhile, work continues on the Roundup Rodeo BBQ, Woody’s Lunch Box seating, and Jessie’s Trading Post in Toy Story Land.

We were there just yesterday and what’s interesting is that there is still a broken ride (only the alien – no ride cart) running on tracks after the walls came down – so, I’m not sure what was going on. I think you’re right: a minor repair or some infrastructure work was needed.
