Food Prices Increased Across Disneyland Resort

Get ready to pay more to eat across the Disneyland Resort, as food prices have increased both big and small as of Wednesday.

To name just a few examples, over at The Tropical Hideaway in Disneyland, the price of a standard Dole Whip has risen fifty cents, from $5.99 to $6.49. The same increase has hit a bag of potato chips, from $3.49 to $3.99. For something smaller, the price of a side of bao sauce has nearly doubled. from $0.59 to $1.19.

Over at Poultry Palace in Disney California Adventure, the price of a turkey leg has increased a dollar, from $11.99 to $12.99, while a bottled Coca-Cola beverage has risen from $4.49 to $4.89. At most counter service locations, a cup of coffee now costs $3.79, up thirty cents from its previous $3.49 price. Another classic Disneyland Resort snack, the corn dog, has gone up eighty cents at Corn Dog Castle, from $9.79 to $10.59. Meanwhile, a Coco sipper has been raised over a dollar, from $12.79 to $13.99.

Another classic, the Mickey pretzel, has also gone up fifty cents at Refreshment Corner from $4.99 to $5.49. A fountain beverage has been raised from $4.29 for a regular and $4.99 for a large to $4.59 and $5.29, respectively.

No reason has been given for the price increases, though it’s likely tied to rising food costs across the United States. The Disney Parks haven’t been financially struggling, with revenues rising 70% in the third quarter. Back in November 2021, Disney’s chief financial officer, Christine McCarthy, said that they weren’t planning for a mass price raise across the resort, saying “we aren’t going to go just straight across and increase prices,” proposing that portion sizes be cut instead.

  1. The timing smells of A) “Just in time for the D23 Expo,” and B) “Get more money out of the ‘Undesirables.'”

  2. And this is just another reaffirming reason why they lost me and my entire family as 20 year passholders.
