Disney Issues Statement Regarding Annual Passholder Lawsuit

Walt Disney World has issued a statement about the pair of Annual Passholders that are suing them over the Park Pass Reservation system.

This statement was given to Florida Politics reporter Gabrielle Russon: “Annual Passholders continue to be some of our biggest fans and most loyal guests. We’ve been upfront with Passholders about the updates we’ve made, and we offered them the flexibility to opt in or opt out of the program early in the pandemic, including refunds if they desired. This lawsuit mischaracterizes the program and its history, and we will respond further in court.”

  1. How is it a mischaracterization exactly if an annual passholder with no blockout dates is not able to make a park pass reservation, but they are still selling single day tickets? If that is the case then the whole argument for the park reservation system to control capacity for health safety reasons is questionable.

  2. Hello WDW News Today. I enjoy your informative news & stories regarding our favorite park. However…many of us older subscribers have a very hard time reading the small light blue text you often use. May I suggest another color that would be much easier for us old guys to read…maybe brown or dark blue. Thank you for considering our needs as senior citizen mousekateers!

  3. Regardless of whether reservations should still be used or not, the lawsuit is patently false in saying “they expected to be able to use their APs whenever.” Disney was upfront with the reservation system, and by buying the new passes they acknowledged that days might be booked up.

  4. 20 yrs my family has ANNUAL PASSES! Walt Disney World
I’m done! It WAS the happiest place. Every 2wks we were there.family escape from home. NEVER AGAIN!
I’M SELLING 50YRS OF collections!!employee’s sex harass your family and make it about you! Biggest thing is racism. That draws the line..and someone punches your child and everyone is at fault…
    NOT ANY MORE.

  5. I AGREE WITH THE PASSHOLDER THAT IS WHY I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL THEY DO NOT GET ANYMORE MONEY FOR MY PASSES. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IF I BUY A TICKET I CAN GET IN BUT MY PASSHOLDER PASS DOES NOT WORK. SOMETIME I WENT FOR LUNCH OR DINNER THAT IS A THING IN THE PAST.
