As expected, Walt Disney World confirmed today that the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Holiday Mix overlay will start on November 25. That date is also the day that the Festival of the Holidays and the other EPCOT holiday celebrations begin.
The ride will feature a new, original song. The song will be inspired by holiday classics but with new lyrics just for the ride. Concept art features a “Holiday Remix” cassette tape and Guardians-inspired holiday ornaments.
This will be the first holiday season for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which has a randomly rotating soundtrack of several different classic ’70s and ’80s songs. The holiday version will only include one song, instead of several.
The attraction recently got a small update with an extra flash added to the Big Bang.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special begins streaming on Disney+ on November 25 as well.
