As you might expect, new holiday season merchandise pops up all over Walt Disney World Resort this time of year. We ran across some new Weihnachten merchandise on a recent venture in the Germany pavilion in EPCOT. We spotted apparel, holiday decorations, aprons, tree skirts, and even a blanket.
Germany Pavillion Fleece Throw Blanket – $59.99
For those colder evenings this time of year, you can buy this blanket. This fleece throw comes already rolled up for ease of transport. However, even when rolled up, one can see the bright colors of this blanket.
The tag gives us a good glimpse into what our future blanket looks like rolled out. We can view Mickey and Minnie sharing some holiday snacks. The background presents a wintry wonderland look. In distinct lettering at the middle of the top of this blanket, “Germany Pavilion” and “EPCOT World Showcase” surround “Fröhliche Weihnachten,” which means Merry Christmas in German.
Germany Pavilion Fröhliche Weihnachten Shirt – $36.99
When you wear this shirt, you will wish everyone a Merry Christmas. This white ringer shirt has red on the collar and the end of the sleeves with the main design in the middle.
The main design wishes all a Merry Christmas. Goofy appears to be in charge of this holiday celebration. He towers over the rest of the gang in his lederhosen. Mickey and Minnie appear to be bringing gifts. Donald and Pluto also come along for some holiday fun. The background depicts the pavilion against a snowy landscape, complete with decorated trees. A small logo saying, “EPCOT World Showcase Germany,” resides below the characters on this shirt.
The back of the shirt displays another small “EPCOT World Showcase Germany” logo in the middle at the top.
Germany Pavilion Mickey and Minnie Holiday Apron – $34.99
For those of you looking to prepare a meal in a holiday apron, we found something for you. This apron shows Minnie and Mickey enjoying some quality holiday time. The tan apron has red and green candy cane striping around the waist and the tie.
On the top of the apron, there are red Mickeys in place of holly berries.
Germany Pavilion Schöne Adventszeit Hoodie – $54.99
The red hoodie beckons us to remember times using an “Advent Calendar” to count down to Christmas Day. The German phrase “Schöne Adventszeit” roughly translates to “Happy advent season” or “happy holidays.” The design on this hoodie resembles some Advent calendars where people open a door to find the treat within.
Many classic holiday images make up this Advent calendar tree in the middle of the front of the hoodie. An outline of the pavilion is behind the tree.
Germany Pavilion Fröhe Weihnachten Ornament – $22.99
On one side of this ornament, we see can read “Fröhe Weihnachten” with “Germany Pavilion” underneath that. On the other side of the ornament, we see Minnie and Mickey Mouse.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse are happily caroling together. White snowflakes flank the couple.
Germany Pavilion Tree Skirt – $79.99
To round out your Germany themed holiday decorations, Disney created a themed tree skirt. This tree skirt looks similar to other holiday decorations we found. Some seasonally appropriate evergreen trees look ready for Christmas with snow on the branches.
Around the skirt, the front wishes us “Merry Christmas” in German. The two others we had yet to see feature familiar Disney friends. Opposite Mickey and Minnie are Donald Duck and Goofy decorating a tree. The final design shows Donald, Minnie, Mickey, and Pluto having a grand holiday time.
