REVIEW: 50th Anniversary Minnie Mouse Dome Cake Arrives at Magic Kingdom

The new year is here, and with it, a new (and likely final) wave of 50th anniversary treats at Magic Kingdom. Gaston’s Tavern has replaced the Pluto Dome with a Minnie Mouse Dome Cake.

Vanilla Citrus Mousse with Strawberry Glaze on top of Pistachio Cake

The pistachio cake on the bottom is a little on the dry side, but the mousse and glaze balance it out.

There is also a layer of strawberry jelly that complements the other flavors well.

The decorations on top are your typical plain chocolate.

The vanilla citrus mousse has a hint of tartness, but we didn’t taste any citrus.

The strawberry outshines the other flavors, but we aren’t complaining. Overall, this is a deliciously refreshing snack.
