As part of today’s housekeeping update, Disney has released a sneak peek at what guests can expect as part of the room refurbishment. Pastel walls have been refreshed and new green sofas can be seen above, as a smiling cast member opens the curtains.

As this housekeeping cast member shapes a towel in the shape of Mickey Mouse, the first sign of new artwork appears on the wall behind her. A new collection of themed artwork will showcase Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and other favorite Disney characters “strolling through iconic locations at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort.”

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy can be seen enjoying each other’s company while floating in swan boats in this new piece of art. The couples have the perfect view of a sunset behind a picturesque BoardWalk Resort while enjoying their time on the lake.

Below, more waterfront scenes bring a bit of the BoardWalk scenery inside the rooms of guests. The newly refurbished rooms are expected to open for stays within the next few weeks.

The resort is modeled after turn-of-the-century boardwalks in such coastal cities as Coney Island and Atlantic City and Disney has stated they intend to keep this theme throughout all of their refurbishment projects happening at BoardWalk.

As work seems to be winding down inside of guests’ rooms, the lobby is the latest refurbishment project to begin at the BoardWalk Inn. Carousel Coffee has opened up nearby and The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers will soon be taking over the former ESPN Club building. These new additions will join the BoardWalk Deli, which opened during the summer of 2022.

Are you excited about the room refresh happening at the BoardWalk Inn or are you worried that theming may become less prominent with the ongoing updates? Let us know in the comments below!
