BREAKING: The Mandalorian and Grogu to Make Special Appearance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

In celebration of the season 3 premiere, the Mandalorian and Grogu made a surprise appearance today in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney has not announced if they will only be available today or if they will be appearing in the future.

Mandalorian Grogu meet greet Disneyland

Whereas Din Djarin and his foundling make daily appearances at Disneyland park, they (and others like Boba Fett and Fennec Shand) were reportedly never to appear on the east coast. This is due to the less flexible timeframe for Black Spire Outpost and its involvement in the plot for Galactic Starcruiser guests.

So far, the characters and theming on Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge have been beholden to the short time period between the events of “Episode VIII” and “Episode IX.” The events of “The Mandalorian” are 20-25 years before this period, but it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility for the pair to be around. We don’t know the ultimate fate of Mando or Grogu. Given that Grogu at 50 years old is equivalent to a human toddler, he could ostensibly still be very young at 70-75.

Din Djarin’s exact age isn’t known, but given that he was rescued by the Children of the Watch during the Clone Wars, he’s likely in his 40s during the series. He could be 65 under the helmet during their visit to Batuu.

More than likely, though, this is a limited time appearance that will not be canon to the Galaxy’s Edge backstory.

Stay tuned for photos and videos of the pair on their visit to Black Spire Outpost.
