Today, in an Instagram post, Disney released the official poster for the upcoming live-action film, “The Little Mermaid.” In addition, on Sunday, March 12, the first official trailer will run during the Oscars telecast.
For the past couple of months, Walt Disney Studios have been giving fans a little taste of what they can expect from this live-action remake when it hits theaters on May 26, 2023.
Halle Bailey plays Princess Ariel in the movie “The Little Mermaid“. Other cast members include Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, and Javier Bardem as King Triton. Noma Dumezweni will portray the new character Queen Selina. Additionally, Daveed Diggs will voice Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay will voice Flounder, and Awkwafina will voice Scuttle, who has been reimagined as a female diving bird instead of a male seagull.
In January, we reported that Walt Disney World was looking to hire performers who look like the live-action Ariel as portrayed by Halle Bailey.
The 95th Oscars, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air live on ABC-TV from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. It will also stream live on the ABC app, Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV and FuboTV.

This is going to bomb so hard
How about creating something new instead of trying to remake everything? Or how about instead of going with the woke culture, teach the only thing that is truly different between every human? Everybody is focused on if the characters are black or white. Everybody focuses on the characters being male or female. You have destroyed just about every movie you have recreated due to these factors and trying to please the woke crowd. Do you even know the real difference between all humans? Blood types. There are only eight blood types between the whole human race. Humans aren’t made of different races. They are made of different blood types. And when it comes to blood types, it doesn’t matter what color or gender you are. So, how about instead of trying to please people by recreating everything, how about trying to create something new. Something that can bring people together. You can’t change the past. You can only try to create a better future. But if you only hang on to the past, you’ll never be able to see a better future. And if none of these words actually trigger any kind of rational thinking, then how about this. Black people aren’t black, white people aren’t white. We are all different shades of brown. The only African Americans in America are those who were born in African and then came here for citizenship. “White” people aren’t called European Americans, so why are “black” people called African Americans if those people weren’t born in Africa? Maybe Disney should start creating things where people are all one. Not trying to recreate movies that actually push people to divide themselves.
