Mickey Mouse will debut a new look when Mickey’s Toontown reopens on March 19. His main meet and greet location will return to his house. When meeting with him outside, he will be in a new costume.
Mickey’s Relaxed-Casual Look
Guests will be able to find Mickey, Minnie, and all their closest friends in Toontown.
Mickey’s new costume is a more casual look, but he’ll still be found sporting his usual red, white, black and yellow color scheme. For his Toontown outdoors outfit, he pairs a striped tee shirt with red pants and a black letterman jacket. His jacket has three-quarter length gray sleeves and a yellow lining to match his shoes. It also features pockets that may be a little too small for his iconic, gloved hands, and white strings for the attached hood.

Mickey and the gang includes everyone from the “Sensational Six,” plus two new additions for guest interactions! Pete, who has never been available for a park meet and greet experience before, joins the crew alongside Clarabelle Cow.
Clarabelle Cow originally appeared in a Mickey Mouse cartoon called “The Shindig” released on July 29, 1930. Over time, her character has changed. Previously known for dating Horace Horsecollar, she has most recently been shown as Goofy’s girlfriend.
Pete is a long-standing character in the Disney universe as well. He first appeared in the 1925 Alice comedy short film called “Alice Solves the Puzzle,” where he was known as “Bootleg Pete.” This early version of Pete was a villainous bear who frequently got into trouble with the law.
More recently, Pete has been found in Disney media and video games including the “Kingdom Hearts” series, as well as Gameloft’s mobile game “Disney Magic Kingdoms.” This modern version of Pete’s character will be the one available to meet in Mickey’s Toontown.
Inside his house, he will greet guests in his more traditional, formal outfit.
Mickey’s not the only one sporting a new look in Toontown! Check out our article on the new Cast Member uniforms for employees working in this land. Disneyland’s Costuming Design team included Cast Members in the uniform’s development process to make sure it was comfortable, functional, and fashionable. The bright colors and fun combinations will fit right in with the rest of Toontown’s aesthetic.
