Announcements, Specialty Food, and More Coming to Disney Parks This Week for Halfway to Halloween

Spring has arrived, which means Disney is ready to start the countdown to Halloween. Halfway to Halloween is now officially underway at Disney Parks.

Halfway to Halloween begins this week in Disney Parks.

Halfway to Halloween Celebration This Week

Details have yet to be released, but limited-time specialty food and beverages will be available at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

We also expect dates and prices to be released for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Resort and Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disneyland Resort this week. This information has historically been announced during Halfway to Halloween, so make sure to stay tuned for updates.

To further kick off the festivities, Disney Parks Blog shared the trailer for “Haunted Mansion.” It was released a month ago, but if you haven’t seen it yet, check it out below.

Walt Disney Studios’ “Haunted Mansion” premiers in theaters July 28. This spooky adventure is inspired by the classic theme park attraction of the same name. It tells the story of a woman and her son played by Rosario Dawson and Chase Dillon, who gather together a group of “spiritual experts,” played by Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish. They hope to rid their home of supernatural entities with the experts’ help.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is an annual Halloween-themed event held at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The event features special entertainment, attractions, as well as specialty food and beverages.

The event is held on select nights from August through October. Ticketholders are admitted to Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. on the valid date of their ticket, and the event typically begins at 7:00 p.m. These date-specific event tickets do not require an additional day theme park ticket or park reservation.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party is also a separately ticketed event that takes place at Disney California Adventure Park on select nights in September and October. Similarly to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, this bash features special entertainment, seasonal attractions, and food and beverages.

In addition, in Disneyland, the classic Haunted Mansion attraction receives special, seasonal theming for Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” The spooky trip through a New Orleans mansion transforms into a story featuring fan-favorite characters Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, and Santa Claus. The soundtrack changes for the duration of this overlay, and the ride’s exterior receives decorations as well.

This is one of the most popular seasonal overlays at any Disney Park. If you’ve never seen it, or just want a trip town memory lane, watch our full point-of-view (POV) video below.
