A new limited-time “Haunted Mansion” gargoyle tiki mug is now available at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Haunted Mansion Gargoyle Tiki Mug
The new limited-time “Haunted Mansion” gargoyle tiki mug is available starting today at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
It is important to note that a wristband will be required to redeem the new mug. Wristband distribution begins at 12 p.m. daily at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and is sold with your choice of one of two specialty beverages. The beverages will be themed after the Halfway to Halloween Celebration, while supplies last.
Guests will be allowed to purchase the mug at 3 p.m. when Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto opens.
Previous “Haunted Mansion” Gargoyle Tiki Mugs
For the past few years, a new edition of the “Haunted Mansion” gargoyle tiki mug has been released in celebration of Halloween.
We found the first edition of the “Haunted Mansion” gargoyle tiki mug at Disneyland Resort in 2021 at the tropical hideaway of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel.
First Edition of the “Haunted Mansion” Gargoyle Tiki Mug
This gargoyle is an exaggerated version of the one found in the stretching room of The Haunted Mansion. The Tiki styling of this mug is very well done, so as to be immediately identifiable as the iconic gargoyle while still bringing that Tiki aesthetic.
Included with the mug, were light up sconces that can be installed in the hands. The small lights fit within the candle holders and brought illumination to the mug.
Second Edition of the “Haunted Mansion” Gargoyle Tiki Mug
This is the second edition of the Haunted Mansion gargoyle tiki mug that was released in 2022 at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Hotel. The first edition, which was a reddish brown, was released in September 2021.
The second edition of the gargoyle mug is a teal-green color. Three skulls are sculpted into the base. It has two arms up for holding the torches, and two legs gripping the base.
Special collectible tiki mugs have been a tradition at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar for years now. Previous mugs include the golden pirahna, Jingle Cruise nutcracker, Jungle Cruise boats, and Maestro the whale. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Tiki Terrace at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort have also sold tiki mugs, including the 4th edition of the zombie head mug. Special “Star Wars” tiki mugs have also been available in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Oga’s Cantina. Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar hosted a mixology seminar last year that included an exclusive tiki mug.
We’re also anxiously awaiting the new live-action “Haunted Mansion” film, starring Rosario Dawson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, and more — which will be in theaters on July 28.
