A new Disney100 gift card is available at retail locations across Walt Disney World Resort. We first spotted it at EPCOT.
The card has a purple background, with a shiny platinum Mickey Mouse head set against it. The mouse ears poke off the top of the regular card shape.
“Disney100” is in the center in silver lettering and “Disney Gift Card” is on a ribbon across the bottom right corner.
Though it’s Disney100 themed, the gift card can of course be used on any Walt Disney World merchandise. 50th anniversary themed gift cards were previously available. Around the holidays, special gift cards sometimes include pins.
Disney 100 Years of Wonder at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World has announced monthly themes for its own version of the 100th-anniversary celebration.
As previously announced, Disney100 will be celebrated mostly at EPCOT with Mickey and Minnie in their platinum outfits and a platinum Mickey sculpture. A new Spectacle of Light show will debut on Spaceship Earth and, in late 2023, a new Disney100 nighttime spectacular will premiere to replace “EPCOT Forever,” which returned as an interim replacement following the final performance of “Harmonious” this weekend.
Journey of Water, CommuniCore Hall, World Celebration Garden, and Dreamers Point are all scheduled to open in late 2023 at EPCOT.
Plenty of new Disney100 products are also now available for guests across Walt Disney World, including Disney100 refillable resort mugs, light-up balloons, Disney100 collectible medallions, and Disney100 collectible pressed pennies.
The 100 Years of Wonder celebration is in full swing at Disneyland Resort, where guests can enjoy “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland and “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure. The platinum Mickey sculpture at EPCOT will presumably be the same as the one at Disneyland, which had to be fixed because the Walt Disney quote on the base was incorrect. Disneyland also has a platinum Minnie statue.
