Although Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations ended on March 31, some decorations have still been seen around the park recently.

We stopped into Magic Kingdom this morning and noticed that theMain Street, U.S.A. Clock has been restored to its pre-50th Anniversary design. The clock had been missing from Main Street USA for a few weeks while it was getting restored.

The clock disappeared from Main Street USA in July 2021 — a couple months before the 50th Anniversary Celebration began. When it returned in September 2021, the clock was painted “EARidescent” gold. It also featured a “50” with an “EARidescent” finish placed on top of it. 50th Anniversary banners hung on each side of the pole.

The banners indicated that Citizen, as part of its ongoing sponsorship, would be the official timepiece of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration.

While the clock was undergoing its restoration, it was completely removed from Main Street, U.S.A., and a green construction box was left in its place. Many speculated whether it would be restored to its original design, or if there would be a new clock altogether.

As of today, the banners, the “EARidesent” finish, and the “50” on top are gone. The clock has been given a coat of fresh, new paint, and has returned to its original colors of dark green and gold.

The “50” on Cinderella Castle was removed on April 3, a few days after the 50th Anniversary celebration ended.

The medallion likely needed to stay for the final performance of Disney Enchantment, which had its final performance on April 2. The medallion was featured in several aspects of the show, including lighting and projections.

All 50th Anniversary decor is expected to be removed across the four parks of the Walt Disney World Resort as the 18-month celebration comes to a close. Disney has announced that the celebratory embellishments will be removed in phases.

At least for now, the most recent “EARidescent” repainting of the castle is expected to remain when the bunting and turret jewels are removed from Cinderella Castle. Many of the 50th anniversary decorations have already been removed from Main Street, U.S.A., as “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” comes to a close. We saw the first decorations removed at the beginning of March.
