PHOTOS: Mira Royal Detective Meet and Greet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Mira, Royal Detective from the Disney Junior show of the same name has arrived at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a limited-time meet and greet celebrating the park’s 25th anniversary.

Mira is the first South Asian protagonist featured in a Disney Junior show. “Mira, Royal Detective” premiered in March 2020 and the final episode aired in June 2022. The titular character is voiced by Leela Ladnier. Mira is assisted by mongoose brothers Mikku (Kal Penn) and Chikku (Utkarsh Ambudkar).

Guests can catch Mira meeting in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, outside Yak & Yeti.

Mira is set to be appearing periodically today only.

A Moana meet and greet also began today, but Moana is scheduled to continue appearing for the foreseeable future.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom 25th Anniversary

Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened on Earth Day, April 22, 1998. To celebrate the park’s 25th anniversary, there are special food items, rare character meet and greets, and a merchandise collection. Today, Disney’s Animal Kingdom released  day-of merchandise, a Pumbaa popcorn bucket, and a commemorative guidemap. There was also a special 25th anniversary ceremony this morning. Wild at 25: An Unauthorized Field Trip

If you’re at Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, join us for “Wild at 25: An Unauthorized Field Trip,” an event presented by WDWNT celebrating the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We welcome you and your friends and family to attend this free meet-up at the park on April 22, 2023. The event will consist of free-to-attend meet-ups at some of Animal Kingdom’s attractions and shows on April 22, as well as a free-to-play interactive game for actual prizes.
