VIDEO: ‘Moana’ Music Loop Added to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Before Meet and Greet Debut

“Moana” music is now playing in a loop on Discovery Island at Disney’s Animal Kingdom ahead of the Moana meet and greet debut.

The Moana meet and greet will begin tomorrow, April 22, Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s 25th anniversary and Earth Day. The new “Moana” music loop includes an instrumental of her main song, “How Far I’ll Go,” as well as music usually heard at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Listen to the music in our video below.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom 25th Anniversary Celebration Resources

Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened on April 22, 1998, Earth Day. The 25th anniversary is being celebrated with special food and beverage, limited merchandise, and more exclusive character meet and greets.

The Animal Kingdom 25th Anniversary Collection is at Island Mercantile, Discovery Trading Company, and Mombasa Marketplace. The collection includes pins, apparel, and a Loungefly backpack. More day-of merchandise will be available on April 22.

Disney PhotoPass will offer both Earth Month and 25th anniversary photo ops around Animal Kingdom. These include special props, Magic Shots, and more. Another highly anticipated photo op — the Moana meet and greet — will begin on April 22.

Through April 23, Wilderness Explorers have the chance to earn a special badge by completing a limited-time nature challenge. More information is available at any of the Wilderness Explorer locations.

Character Meet and Greets, Food and Beverages

Special character meet and greets have been taking place to help with the celebration, too. Tinker Bell, Fawn, King Louie, Baloo, Goofy and Flik have been spotted greeting guests over the last week. A rare meet and greet opportunity featuring Terk and Jane from “Tarzan” even popped up.

These special meet and greet opportunities were all found on Discovery Island, across from Pizzafari and beside the gardens surrounding the Tree of Life. Take a look at some of our photos and coverage:

Join us for “Wild at 25: An Unauthorized Field Trip,” an event presented by WDWNT celebrating the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We welcome you and your friends and family to attend this free meet-up at the park on April 22, 2023. The event will consist of free-to-attend meet-ups at some of Animal Kingdom’s attractions and shows on April 22, as well as a free-to-play interactive game for actual prizes.
