Construction Begins on Studio Styles Façade

Scrim and metal scaffolding are positioned in front of Studio Styles in preparation for building the Jurassic Park seasonal Tribute Store located in Universal Studios Florida. The store is being constructed to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Jurassic Park.” The film was released in 1993.

Rumor has it the new shop will open near the end of May, consistent with the Classic Movies Tribute Store last year. That store opened on May 26, 2022 and featured rooms based on “Back to the Future,” “JAWS,” and “E.T.”

Scrim and metal scaffolding has been erected in front of Studio Styles, the new location for the seasonal tribute store located in Universal Studios Florida.

Previously, an awning was attached to this store, and it was covered with a marquee for the Mardi Gras celebration. The Mardi Gras-themed venue was the first Tribute Store in the new location. Take a look at the previous appearance below.

The plan for the Jurassic Park Tribute store is to feature a look inside the film’s sets rather than transport you into the film itself.

The store’s theme was first teased with a metal ladle in a window, referencing the iconic kitchen scene from the first “Jurassic Park” film. The ladle was removed from the window last week.

The previous Jurassic-themed Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida was in the old location, and was set up for “Jurassic World” to celebrate the opening of the VelociCoaster. This was actually the first summer tribute store ever, beginning the tradition in 2021. Take a look at our walkthrough video below.

It was housed in the old extended queue for The Mummy, and Universal dropped several hints before officially moving the Tribute Store to its current location. Studio Styles was previously home to the UOAP lounge which can now be found in the former Betty Boop store.

Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Celebration at Universal Parks

Theme park celebrations, as well as exclusive film and new 90s-inspired nostalgia products, will be hitting retail throughout the year to celebrate a franchise 65 million years in the making. Highlights include specialty food and merchandise outlets as well as limited-edition anniversary branded merchandise.

As part of Universal’s marketing plan to get everyone excited for the event, a faux Jurassic Park training video set in the 1990s was recently released for the first generation of InGen scientists. The video featured Mr. DNA as the narrator.

Universal Orlando Resort

Jurassic June celebrations at Universal Orlando Resort include specialty food and beverages, exclusive merchandise and the takeover at the Tribute Store.

In addition, a new complimentary “Jurassic Park” Universal Orlando Resort Annual Passholder magnet is currently available as part of a month of UOAP benefits.
