Disney Limiting Early Entry Benefit at Some Hotels Through End of 2023 at Walt Disney World

This week, Disney made some alterations to the list of hotels that are eligible for the early entry benefit some guests receive at Walt Disney World.

Participating Early Entry Locations

Guests staying at all Disney Resort hotels and “select other hotels” are eligible to take advantage of a 30-minute early entry into Walt Disney World theme parks every day. Earlier this week, Disney limited several of the “select other hotels” to only have access to this perk through the end of 2023.

B Resort & Spa Lake Buena Vista, Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, Waldorf Astoria Orlando, Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando Lake Buena Vista, Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista, and Wyndham Lake Buena Vista were all listed on the official Disney website as only offering the perk through December 31, 2023.

Since then, two of those were added to the list of Disney Resorts and select hotels that are offering the perk through 2024: Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista and Wyndham Lake Buena Vista.

Disney states, “Please check back later for further details regarding 2024.” We assume that this means the list of hotels limited to 2023 only could still end up being added to the greater list that offers the benefit through 2024.

Resort guest early entry was introduced in 2021 as a benefit for resort guests visiting for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. It’s clear that the benefit is staying for at least two more years. It replaced “Extra Magic Hours”, a similar benefit that was discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic.
