Early theme park entry has started early for Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests. As part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”, Disney hotel guests and guests of other select hotels can enter the theme parks 30 minutes early every day. We got to Magic Kingdom early this morning to see what early entry was like.

At 7:45 AM, guests were being held just past the Monorail station.

A few minutes later, they let us approach the touch points.

We waited here until 8:00 AM.

Upon entering, Cast Members directed hotel guests to the right for early entry.

Cast Members were there to scan our MagicBands and make sure we were actually resort guests.

After that, we were held on the Fantasyland and Tomorrowland bridges until 8:30 AM, when early entry officially began.

At first, it seemed nobody wanted to visit Tomorrowland.

But it soon got its own crowd of people. Cast Members were standing at the edge of each bridge to keep guests from entering too soon.

A minute early, the Cast Members let us enter the lands.

Most guests headed straight towards Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which did not start letting guests on until 8:36 AM. It quickly reached a 45-minute wait, with a line ending at H. Goff Cartography.

Though it’s on the list of available attractions, Space Mountain did not immediately open.

  1. A whole 30 minutes early!!! several rides not ready in time. This new program is a joke. Go back to extra magic hours at night for all resort guests not just the elite rich at deluxe resorts
