A new trio of Dooney & Bourke bags themed after “The Lion King” is now available for purchase at Uptown Jewelers in Magic Kingdom. These bags are also available on shopDisney. Let’s take a look.
‘The Lion King’ Dooney & Bourke Tote- $328.00
Dooney & Bourke’s signature product is the tote, a large, sturdy bag made from top-grain leather. The tote was introduced in 1975.
This new line features imagery from Disney’s “The Lion King.” It utilizes a range of greens, oranges, and reds atop a neutral-toned background. Jungle palm fronds, flowers and a stylized baobab tree are peppered amongst multiple poses of Simba and Nala. Elephants and giraffe are also pictured.
The pattern is printed on the brand’s signature pebble leather. The tote has a front zipper and maroon handle.
Contrast stitching in beige lines the bag’s top hem and handles.
A golden branding plaque with “Dooney & Bourke 1975” is attached atop a maroon patch. The bag’s zippers are also gold to match.
The interior lining is a pale sage green, and has a branding patch sewn inside.
‘The Lion King’ Dooney & Bourke Drawstring Bag- $318.00
This Dooney & Bourke drawstring bag has the same pattern with a maroon drawstring looped through golden grommets along the top.
The drawstring can be pulled outside of the bag or tucked inside.
The side seam features a contrast stripe of maroon calf leather.
The shoulder strap is the same color. It attaches with golden hardware.
Each of the bags are stuffed with the branded Dooney & Bourke tissue paper.
‘The Lion King’ Dooney & Bourke Crossbody Bag – $248.00
This crossbody bag is the smallest of the three. The branding plaque is situated near the bottom of the bag, and a zipper pouch is available on the front of the bag.
An adjustable shoulder strap is attached in maroon leather with a golden buckle.
A small zippered pocket and pouch are included inside this bag. The zipper here is pastel sage green to match the lining, and features maroon leather with contrast beige stitching around the pocket’s opening. The additional pouch also has a leather-lined opening.
Dooney & Bourke is an American luxury leather goods brand founded in 1975 by designer Peter Dooney and entrepreneur Frederic Bourke in Norwalk, Connecticut. Originally a men’s supplier of belts, suspenders, and ties, the company now specializes in handbags and small accessories.
