The Jungle Cruise Attraction

The Jungle Cruise is an opening day riverboat attraction located in Adventureland. Originally intended to be more educational and straightforward, the cruise is now renowned for its dry humor and excessive use of puns — courtesy of a Cast Member guide known as a Skipper. As guests traverse jungles of the world, they are treated to a bombardment of witty one-liners.

A movie loosely based on the experience was released in 2021, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. Check out our full review here.

Disney often incorporates content from this attraction into limited-time food or merchandise throughout the parks. Recently, an ice cream treat called the “Back Side of Water Float” was available at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to highlight one of the skippers’ more popular jokes as the ride boat travels behind a waterfall.

Disneyland Resort is now offering the “Celebrating Disney100 at the Disneyland Resort” guided tour, including a walk through both parks, the drawing experience at Animation Academy, a digital download of a photo taken in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, a Disney100 snack, reserved viewing for “Magic Happens” parade, and a limited-edition pin.

Disneyland Resort is the home for Disney100, where guests can enjoy “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland and “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure.

As previously announced, Disney100 will also be celebrated at EPCOT in Walt Disney World, with Mickey and Minnie in their platinum outfits and a platinum Mickey sculpture. A new Spectacle of Light show will debut on Spaceship Earth and, in late 2023, a new nighttime spectacular will premiere to replace “Harmonious.” Journey of Water, CommuniCore Hall, World Celebration Garden, and Dreamers Point are all scheduled to open in late 2023 at EPCOT.
