“The Incredibles” theming took over most rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in 2021, and now it’s taking over the merchandise. A new resort-specific ear headband and Tervis Tumbler have debuted with “The Incredibles” characters.
We found both items in BVG.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort “The Incredibles” Ear Headband – $44.99
It’s possible this merchandise would have debuted sooner, but October 2021 was also the kickoff for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World. The celebration included 50th anniversary merchandise for the Contemporary. Like the 50th anniversary ear headband, this one features a Monorail in the center.
These ears are printed with UV-reactive ink, causing them to change colors when exposed to sunlight. The headband is white imitation leather with orange velour lining. A Disney x Loungefly metal placard is on the side.
The front left ear features Violet Parr. The right ear reads “Incredible journey.”
The back of the ears has a Monorail passing between them. On the left is the resort’s logo, while the main building is pictured on the right.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort “The Incredibles” Tervis Tumbler – $29.99
A matching Tervis tumbler features similar artwork and the same “Incredible journey” slogan. The art is mid-century modern-esque in shades of reds, oranges, blues, and more earth tones.
Helen and Bob are leaping into action on one side.
The Monorail crawls along the lower portion of the tumbler.
The logo for Disney’s Contemporary Resort is on the side opposite the Parrs.
It has a light blue lid with a slider opening.
“The Incredibles” Theming at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
In 2019, Disney built test rooms themed after “The Incredibles” at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The test overlay included hallway decor and carpeting. In late 2021, the hallway decor was installed on nine floors of the main tower building.
The reimagined rooms opened shortly thereafter in October 2021.
The rooms have both hidden and blatant theming.
The interior of the drawer has items from the Incredibles films, including Dash’s math textbook, Jack-Jack’s cookies, and the remote for the Incredibile.
The curtains feature red silhouettes of the Incredibles.
Art of Jack-Jack is displayed in the toilet room.
The closet features a design on its back wall of the masks, suits, and shoes of each member of the Incredibles family.
