Rackety’s Raccoon Saloon, a quick-service snack shop, has reopened at Tokyo Disneyland with a new version of the classic Critter Sundae.

Rackety’s Raccoon Saloon is located behind Splash Mountain — which remains open while the United States versions have closed permanently. According to the Tokyo Disney Resort website:

The story goes that Rackety the raccoon, once a moonshine maker, had a brewing accident when his still exploded causing the dam to break and flood the area, thus the name Splash Mountain. After that experience, he gave up moonshine and now serves Guests soft drinks and snacks.

Previous iterations of the Critter Sundae include the strawberry-milk swirl and pumpkin-milk swirl for Halloween.

Critter Sundae – ¥800 ($5.75)

This sundae is a swirl of chocolate and milk soft-serve ice cream. It’s sprinkled with chocolate flakes and topped with a full Mickey churro. There are corn flakes at the bottom beneath the ice cream.

It’s refreshing, delicious, and has a variety of textures thanks to the soft-serve, chocolate flakes, crisp churro, and crunchy corn flakes.

Tokyo Disney Resort opened with Tokyo Disneyland 40 years ago on April 15, 1983. The resort is celebrating this year with special entertainment, merchandise, decorations, and more.

The Main Street of World Bazaar at Tokyo Disneyland welcomes guests with multiple layers of colorful “Dream Garlands.” The presence of the “Dream Garland,” which is displayed throughout Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, emphasizes the connection between each area of the parks, guests, Cast Members, and Disney characters.

Cinderella Castle 40th Anniversary Decor

Cinderella Castle is decorated with the commemorative number “40.” After dark, guests can enjoy seeing the banners around the castle glow — as if sprinkled with pixie dust.

Tokyo Disneyland launched a brand-new daytime parade, “Disney Harmony in Color.” Themed to a “harmonious world of colors,” the parade showcases themes of adventure, courage, family bonds, and friendship through various stories from Disney and Pixar films. The finale features a float that takes guests on a journey to a harmonious world of vibrant colors that is filled with dreams. The parade features Mickey and friends, characters from “Zootopia,” characters from “Coco,” and more.

The festive atmosphere of the 40th anniversary at Tokyo Disney Resort adds to the excitement of “Club Mouse Beat,” where Mickey Mouse and his friends give dynamic performances set to hip-hop, Latin, pop, and other musical styles. In the show’s finale, the 40th anniversary theme song plays as Mickey and friends appear in their 40th anniversary outfits.

Tokyo DisneySea presents the special Tokyo Disney Resort 40th anniversary Harbor Greeting, “Let’s Celebrate with Colors,” at Mediterranean Harbor. Mickey and friends appear in colorful outfits while the Tokyo Disney Resort 40th anniversary theme song plays.

In “Sky Full of Colors,” colorful fireworks light up the night sky to the 40th anniversary theme song and a variety of Disney songs, giving guests spectacular, dream-filled moments to enjoy.
