Disney 100 Years of Wonder (also known as Disney100) is currently being celebrated around the world at Disney Parks and Resorts.

Walt Disney World has previously announced that they will celebrate monthly themes to coincide with the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company over the next several months. As previously announced, EPCOT debuted a new Spectacle of Light show on Spaceship Earth to celebrate Disney100, and in late 2023, will welcome a new nighttime spectacular to replace “Harmonious.” Journey of Water, World Celebration Garden, Dreamers Point, and CommuniCore Hall are scheduled to also open in late 2023 at EPCOT.

At Magic Kingdom, Mirabel will begin meeting guests starting “this fall” in the Fairytale Garden. She will be replacing Merida’s meet-and-greet, and the area will be given a new look to resemble Casita Madrigal.

Over at Disneyland Resort, guests can take part in the “Celebrating Disney100 at the Disneyland Resort” guided tour, which includes a walk through both parks, a drawing experience at Animation Academy, a digital download of a commemorative photo taken in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, a special snack, reserved viewing for the “Magic Happens” parade, and a Limited Edition pin.

Disneyland also debuted new nighttime spectaculars for the Disney100 celebration: “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland Park, and “World of Color – ONE” at Disney California Adventure.

The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia is hosting Disney100: The Exhibition, honoring the milestone in The Walt Disney Company’s history. The exhibit includes a lifelike hologram of Walt Disney. The Franklin Institute will host Disney100: The Exhibition through August 27, and also in Munich through September 3. The North American installation will then tour cities across the U.S., while the European exhibit will visit other Europe and Asia destinations through 2028.

Disney also released a new short to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney Animation Studios at the Annecy International Film Festival. The studio brought back over 40 voice actors to reprise their roles, as well as pulled dialogue from the archives from past actors, like Robin Williams as the Genie. “Once Upon a Studio” brings together 2D and 3D animation with live action to celebrate the studio’s 100-year legacy. For those wanting to see it themselves, you can catch it alongside Walt Disney Animation Studios’ latest feature film, “Wish,” set to release later this year on November 22.
