Lil Yachty Regrets Spending $100,000 on Walt Disney World Date

Rapper Lil Yachty recently talked about spending $100,000 on a trip to Walt Disney World for a date, admitting it was too much money.

Lil Yachty’s Expensive Date

Lil Yachty spoke about the trip on an episode of A Safe Place Podcast with co-host Mitch and guest Kai Cenat. It was a date with a woman he wasn’t officially going out with, and things ultimately didn’t work out or progress.

The overall of that trip wasn’t tricking, wasn’t for her, but it was to go big. And I kinda went a little insane. That thing specifically is I spent 100 grand to go to Disney World, take someone to Disney. I regret it because we weren’t dating and it just didn’t go nowhere.

“But it was fire,” Yachty added, “because it was my experience too, it was crazy. But it was insane.” Lil Yachty admitted he’s not much of a “relationship guy.”

Though $100,000 is a bit more than the average person spends on a Walt Disney World trip — Lil Yachty did use a private jet to get there — the rapper’s regret rings true for many visitors to the most magical place on Earth. Ticket prices have been increasing, including for Annual Passholders, while more and more services become add-ons instead of free.

Many have been frustrated by Genie+, a paid service that replaced the free FastPasses available for many years. The record high for Genie+ for one day has been $35, which may not even include some guest favorite Lightning Lanes that need to be purchased individually.

We also frequently see price increases on food and beverage items, as well as on merchandise.

  1. I believe this article misses the point of the story? He clearly states that he didn’t regret the experience, even calling it “fire.” He regretted doing it because the relationship with his guest didn’t pan out.

  2. Food prices up, portion size down, air conditioning tweeked up or switched off everywhere park prices up, trams still not at HWS or Epcot, general long term investment non existent.
regretted not booking universal and staying there as Disneyworld has lost its advantage in all areas
