The summer sun is still beating down on Florida as we gear up for the 2023 Halloween season — but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to prepare for Christmas. We’ve found several new Christmas ornaments at Walt Disney World Resort this month. These ornaments, inspired by the Disney100 celebration and classic Disney characters, can also be used as display figures year-round as their ribbons are detachable.
Redd Sketchbook Ornament – $26.99
Redd the pirate is atop another pirate’s giant skull.
The skull is wearing a red bandanna and a tricorner hat.
The detachable ribbon is black.
Sketchbook is the name of Disney’s ornament segment.
“it’s a small world” Sketchbook Ornament – $26.99
This ornament features the famous “it’s a small world” clockface, with three dolls on top.
Colorful building façades are behind the dolls.
Disney100 Ornament – $29.99
Decorate to celebrate 100 years of The Walt Disney Company with this transparent Mickey head ornament.
Mickey and Minnie figures are inside the main orb, in their Disney100 outfits, along with Cinderella Castle depicted in platinum.
“Disney” is in platinum lettering in the right ear.
“100 Years of Wonder” is in the left ear.
The ribbon is purple, with a Disney100 charm at the bottom of it.
Fireworks are across the ears, too.
Esmeralda Sketchbook Ornament – $26.99
Esmeralda from “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” is depicted in her red dress with purple sash on this ornament.
She’s standing on a yellow and pink base, with a three-panel screen behind her.
The front of the screen is blue with golden designs. The back is purprle.
Hercules Sketchbook Ornament – $26.99
Hercules and Megara are embracing on a cloud, with four Roman columns around them.
The cloud has a shiny finish.
Tinker Bell Pixie Dust Ornament – $26.99
Tinker Bell is being mischievous on this ornament. She’s on a mirror with a golden rim.
She sits against a glass bottle filled with pixie dust.
Tink’s wings are sparkly and she looks like she’s blowing pixie dust out of her hand.
A tag on the bottle reads “My favorite color is sparkle.”
Tinker Bell Thread Ornament – $29.99
Another Tinker Bell ornament features the fairy sitting atop a spool of purple thread.
She’s lifting a thimble off her head. Two pearls and buttons are attached to the side of the spool.
It lights up thanks to a switch on the bottom.
Winnie the Pooh Sketchbook Ornament – $29.99
Winnie the Pooh is dressed up like Santa Claus in this honey pot-shaped ornament. A cutout in the front of the ornament resembles a stone fireplace, with Pooh sitting inside with a bag of toys.
Yellow honey appears to spill out from the chimney and the lid of the pot.
A green ribbon is wrapped around the pot.
It also lights up.
The ribbon is light green.
Gaston Sketchbook Ornament – $29.99
Do you use antlers in all of your decorating? Then you’ll want this ornament. It depicts Gaston singing his iconic song while lounging in an antlered armchair.
He sits on a base resembling wood, with a bear rug on top of it.
The chair is also draped in animal skins.
The ornament does actually play “Gaston” from “Beauty and the Beast.”
Be careful with this delicate ornament, however — we noticed that most of them had fingers broken off.
Jaq & Gus Sketchbook Ornament – $26.99
Jaq and Gus from “Cinderella” are going to their own ball in this pumpkin-shaped ornament.
It resembles Cinderella’s carriage, but hasn’t quite completed its transformation. A door is open in the side of it that the mice are peeking out of.
Green vine wheels are on the bottom.
Rapunzel Sketchbook Ornament – $26.99
This ornament depicts Rapunzel with her long golden hair standing in front of a curtained mural. She’s painting the lanterns in the sky, while Pascal sits on a box at her feet.
Tiana Sketchbook Ornament – $26.99
This detailed ornament features Princess Tiana in her sparkling blue dress. She’s holding the froggy Prince Naveen in her hand and standing next to a pink and gold dresser.
The dresser is topped with a lamp, framed photos, and other knick-knacks.
The ornament’s base has a purple and pink checkered pattern.
Groot Breakout Sketchbook Ornament – $24.99
We have seen this light-up Groot ornament at Disneyland before because it’s inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
The ornament features young Groot dancing in his silver cell.
The ornament lights up blue inside.
The switch is on top.
Groot Awesome Mix Sketchbook Ornament – $24.99
Another Groot ornament features him eating a gingerbread Awesome Mix casette cookie.
Minnie Polka Dot Bow Sketchbook Ornament – $26.99
This bow-shaped ornament is dotted with sparkly white circles. A figure of Minnie with her flower-topped red hat and blue polka-dot skirt is peeking out of one corner.
At the opposite corner is a figure of Minnie with a newer design, wearing her pink and white polka-dot dress and bow.
These ornaments are available at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom.
