There’s no way you’ll have a bad day when you pick up one of these popsicles from Freeze Ray Pops in Minion Land at Universal Studios Florida. We tried them all on a recent visit.
While Minion Land at Universal Studios Florida is soft opened for technical rehearsals, we’re visiting all the land’s new food and beverage locations, including Freeze Ray Pops.
Freeze Ray Pops is the blue façade next to Bake My Day, which is on the corner facing Villain-Con Minion Blast.

Vector Freeze Ray Pop – $8.99
orange creamsicle popsicle coated in orange-colored white chocolate with a shortbreadcookie “V”
The Vector popsicle is like a creamsicle but with a crispy outer shell, which adds a nice crunch.
The “V” on the front is a cookie, which adds another texture to this sweet treat.
This was our favorite of the three Freeze Ray Pops. Be careful when ordering on a hot day, as they do melt quickly in that weather.
Minion Freeze Ray Pop – $8.99
blue banana popsicle coated in blue and yellow-colored white chocolate with a shortbread cookie Minion eye goggle
This was the most unique out of all the popsicles.
The banana flavor is very strong, but we found the texture to be creamier than an actual ice pop.
The white chocolate shell also adds a lot to this treat, and is adorable with the Minion eyeball and goggle.
Gru Freeze Ray Pop – $8.99
Nutella popsicle coated in black-colored dark chocolate with a shortbread cookie Gru “G” logo
This popsicle is Nutella-flavored, and tastes like a traditional fudgesicle.
The dark chocolate hard outer shell adds crunch to the experience, and the chocolate inside doesn’t melt as quickly as the others.
We almost find these addictive and would definitely get all three of them again!

Minion Land at Universal Studios Florida
Minion Land has taken over most of Production Central, transforming it into Illumination Avenue. Minion Café has replaced the former Universal Studios’ Classic Monsters Cafe, and is joined by Bake My Day, Freeze Ray Pops, and Pop-A-Nana. You can take a full tour of Minion Café here, or check out all of the Bake My Day merchandise and treats.
The attractions are the pre-existing Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and the upcoming Villain-Con Minion Blast. The façade of Despicable Me Minion Mayhem was recently refurbished.
The Minions and other Illumination characters have meet-and-greets outside Illumination Theater.
The back of the Transformers: The Ride show building has been painted teal blue to match the new land.
An entirely different Minion Land also exists at Universal Studios Beijing. However, at Universal Studios Japan, Minion Park is yet another separate land, with a clone under construction at Universal Studios Singapore. A different version of Minion Café exists at Universal Studios Hollywood.
