“Deadpool 3”
As you may remember, we learned last fall that Hugh Jackman would return as Wolverine. In. a two-minute video, Reynolds begins by apologizing for missing D23 Expo just before joking about soul-searching to find his place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for “Deadpool 3”. However, he then decides instead to just bring back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. At the end of the video, the film’s release date is revealed — September 6, 2024. Jackman had allegedly wrapped up his time as Wolverine after ‘Logan’, however, we now know that this was not the case.
We learned the film’s rating back in January 2021. When speaking to Collider’s Steve Weintraub during a “WandaVision” press event, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, confirmed that there would be a third R-rated film: “Deadpool 3.” At that stage, the film was in the script-writing stage though we did also learn that the film would be the first R-rated movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Back in April, it was announced that Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic will return as Vanessa and Colossus, respectively in “Deadpool 3,” the first Deadpool film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The returns of Karan Soni as Dopinder and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al were also announced by Ryan Reynolds.
