Toad is making a meet and greet debut in Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood starting tomorrow.
Toad Joins Mario, Luigi, & Peach
The newest character addition from the universe of Super Mario has been announced on the Universal Studios Hollywood Instagram.
Toad joins Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach — all of whom already greet guests throughout the area.
Recently, another character — Bowser Jr. — made his own theme park debut at the Super Mario Power-Up Summer show in the New York City section of Universal Studios Japan. Toad can also be spotted among the cast.

Super Nintendo World in Hollywood
Super Nintendo World is the newest addition to Universal Studios Hollywood, serving as a somewhat smaller but elaborate version of the original land in Universal Studios Japan. It had a soft opening in January this year, and celebrated its official grand opening on February 17, 2023. Check out our full walkthrough:
There is one major attraction in this area themed to the Mushroom Kingdom — Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, which blends traditional dark ride concepts with AR, or augmented reality. A video of this experience is also available below.
Over in Orlando, an expanded version of this concept with additional rides is making progress at Epic Universe — Universal’s third theme park in the city, slated for a 2025 opening.
This aerial construction view from bioreconstruct has made it clear that guests will enter this version of Super Nintendo World with an escalator, unlike the others. A Yoshi omnimover attraction will join Mario Kart, along with a Donkey Kong ride which utilizes new technology that will create the illusion of “jumping” between tracks.
Yoshi’s Adventure already exists in Japan, whilst a Donkey Kong expansion at that park intends to have a 2024 opening. Mario and friends will additionally be arriving at another version of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore in 2025.
