As a result of Hurricane Idalia preparing to make landfall in Florida this Wednesday, Disney Parks has announced the upcoming grand virtual reveal of the Disney Treasure cruise ship has been rescheduled.
Disney Treasure Grand Virtual Reveal Rescheduled
Disney Parks shared the announcement on their official Twitter account, stating that the grand virtual reveal of the new Disney Cruise Line ship would be moved as a result of the approaching hurricane. The reveal was originally scheduled to take place on August 30.
The first look at the ship will now be held virtually on September 5 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time.

The teaser video released with the original announcement of “Unlocking the Disney Treasure: Adventure Awaits Onboard Disney’s Newest Ship” included locations that could reference “Coco,” “Up,” “Encanto,” and Jungle Book.
The video is narrated by a new character, Arthur Quinn, who states his family has explored far-off lands in search of magical realms for years. The character could be connected to the Society of Explorers and Adventurers.
Disney Treasure
The adventure-themed ship is scheduled to set sail in 2024.
Its atrium will have a blue and gold color scheme. The golden statue will feature Aladdin and Jasmine riding the Magic Carpet.
The Disney Treasure’s design is inspired by Walt Disney’s love of exploration and will feature the theme of adventure. Disney launched a ship’s log page to track the construction of the ship. The bridge block was installed in late June. The aft section was headed to Papenburg, Germany in late July.
Peter Pan and Captain Hook will be the larger-than-life character figures on the stern of the Disney Treasure.
There is a rumored “Coco” dinner show and Haunted Mansion bar and lounge coming to the Disney Treasure. Worlds of Marvel will also reportedly be present on the ship as well with new shows.
