We’re a week away from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Magic Kingdom is nearly ready for fall. Halloween scarecrows, jack-o’-lanterns, and bunting now adorn Main Street, U.S.A. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party signs and fall wreaths have now been added, too.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Signs
There is a sign in a planter across from the Monorail entrances at the Transportation and Ticket Center.
In front of the sign are hay bales, baskets of seasonal fruits and veggies, and pumpkins.
The sign features Mickey as a vampire and Minnie as a witch in front of Cinderella Castle. It instructs guests to call 407-W-Disney or stop at “Ghost” Relations for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets.
After exiting the Monorail outside Magic Kingdom, an identical sign with more gourds is displayed.
And another is at the exit of the ferryboat.
More Fall Decorations
Fall bunting now hangs from the front of the Main Street, U.S.A. train station.
The bunting is orange, yellow, and red.
Inside the park, we noticed an important update. The jack-o’-lantern carved with a restrooms sign was previously in the wrong spot, atop City Hall, so the arrow was pointing away from the Town Square restrooms.
It is now in its rightful home at the corner of the firehouse’s marquee.
The firehouse is also decorated with bunting and Dalmatian-themed jack-o’-lanterns.
Some of the Main Street storefronts now have fall wreaths and garland.
The wreaths are made of orange, red, and faded green leaves, red flowers, tiny pumpkins, and autumnal bows.
The garland is above some of the Emporium doorways.
More wreaths and leaf decorations line the street.
We also noticed some wiring on a lamppost’s bars in the Hub. Crews are probably getting ready to install the light-up Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern and Cinderella’s Coach pumpkin wreaths. The latter were introduced for the 50th anniversary, but may still return for another Halloween.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is an after-hours, hard-ticket event at Magic Kingdom. It will take place on the following dates:
- August: 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29
- September: 1, 4, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29
- October: 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29, 31*
- November: 1
Entertainment includes Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.
The parade is performed twice nightly, weather permitting, and is usually preceded by the Headless Horseman riding through the Park. It features Disney Villains, Haunted Mansion characters, Mickey & Friends, and more. This year, Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle will appear in the parade as the Sanderson Sisters of “Hocus Pocus.” They debuted the looks at Disneyland Resort and on Disney Cruise Line last year.
Max Goof will return to host pop-up Powerline parties throughout Magic Kingdom, as well as reprise his dance show on Main Street, U.S.A. ahead of Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade.
The real Sanderson Sisters host Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular as they create a special party potion with help from “frightful friends.”
And Jack Skellington from “The Nightmare Before Christmas” hosts Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, the nighttime fireworks and projection show also featuring Mickey & Friends.
Other new entertainment includes a “spirited pirate band and their crew” performing sea shanties in Adventureland. The Dapper Dans usually become the Cadaver Dans during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and perform in Frontierland.
