Construction continues at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, as the refurbishment that is scheduled to be completed in “late fall” of this year begins to wind down.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort Refurbishment
Disney made a formal announcement regarding the refurbishment:
From January 7, 2023, through late this fall, Disney’s Beach Club Villas will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Resort amenities will remain available for your enjoyment. While you may see or hear construction during daytime hours, you should not hear noise from guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 a.m.
Work to spruce up the exterior of the resort continues, with a cherry picker parked outside and construction workers repainting the balcony areas of rooms.
In late July, we started to get some great looks at the new soft goods that were being installed as part of the refurbishment of Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
The white construction walls that were erected in July remain, and a temporary Bell Services table with Cast Members has been set up nearby.
On this day in particular, the construction happening beyond the walls was very loud. As previously stated, construction noise is only limited from dusk until 9:00 am.
Many of the A-frame signs marking closed doors and walkways are still being used.
The main entrance to the lobby from the porte-cochère has a cherry picker parked next to it.
The cherry picker hides the vintage car that typically stands to welcome guests to the resort.
One bit of good progress has been noticed: the walkway from the main lobby to Disney’s Beach Club Villas has reopened. Guests were previously being diverted through the solarium, but can now take this more direct path once again.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is in the EPCOT Resort Area, next to its sister resort Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. It is also across Crescent Lake from Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. Modeled after nineteenth-century Newport, Rhode Island, the resort opened to guests on November 19, 1990. The last time it received renovations was in 2016.
