Oogie Boogie Bash has begun for 2023 at Disney California Adventure, and we’ve got your first look at this year’s designs for the event wristbands, treat bags, and guidemap! Let’s take a look.
Oogie Boogie Bash 2023 Wristband
This year’s wristband features the event logo for Oogie Boogie Bash, printed black on white. The outer edge of our wristband was yellow-green and black-striped.
Our wristband also had our party date printed on it.
Oogie Boogie Bash 2023 Treat Bag
This year’s treat bag advertises two upcoming Disney projects. One side shows a teaser image for the live-action Disney+ original series, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” based on the “Percy Jackson” series of novels.
The other side shows a teaser image for Disney “Wish,” a new animated film starring Ariana DeBose as the voice of Asha, who is peeking over the bottom edge of the bag. Her star friend is also present.
Oogie Boogie Bash 2023 Guidemap
The guidemap for Oogie Boogie Bash this year has 2023 right at the top, with the logo looming large over the gates to Disney California Adventure. The event hashtag can be spotted at the very bottom.
Unfolding the map, the interior immediately gives guests a look at the entertainment available during the event, including Villains Grove, the Headless Horseman and the Frightfully Fun Parade, treat trails, and more.
Looking at the map itself, each photo op and treat trail is marked with an icon that corresponds to the event legend on the right.
There is also a general map legend on the left, just below the park’s logo.
A pull-quote box encourages Magic Key Holders to stop by the Silly Symphony Swings to take advantage of a special keepsake and photo opportunity.
The back of the map shows off the special event dining opportunities, including parade dining at Wine Country Trattoria, and the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party. Carthay Circle with its Halloween projection mapping is shown on the far right panel.
On the other side, there is information about how to view and download your event photos taken by Disney PhotoPass, how to download and plan ahead with the Disneyland Resort mobile app, and other advertisements. There is also a blurb about transportation to the Disneyland parking structures during and after the event.

such a shame the only offering from Oogie Boogie Bash that didn’t return was “Villainous! World of Color”. i wonder if Disney will come up with a new Halloween-style World of Color for 2024.
