Guests staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn may notice repair work around the resort hotel as the property-wide refresh continues, now with concrete replacement in some areas of the resort property. This concrete work began today, October 23, 2023.

Concrete Replacement at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Resort guests enjoying Disney’s BoardWalk Inn should be advised that concrete replacement around the property has begun. This replacement work will occur during daytime hours around the hotel. Though the concrete replacement is not expected to impact any amenities, guests traveling around the property should keep an eye out for marked alternate routes and entrances as the construction progresses.

The concrete replacement is expected to be completed sometime in January 2024.

Ongoing and Recently Completed BoardWalk Inn Refurbishments

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is in the middle of a series of refurbishments. The planned refresh, which has included guest rooms, was announced in the spring of 2022.  Check out our tour of a newly refurbished room below:

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers is taking over the former ESPN Club building. These new additions will join the BoardWalk Deli, which opened during the summer of 2022. You can check out our latest construction update here.

The lobby refresh was completed and the new Carousel Coffee opened earlier this year.

The resort is modeled after turn-of-the-century boardwalks in such coastal cities as Coney Island and Atlantic City, and Disney has stated they intend to keep this theme.
