The Columbia Harbour House construction work has extended down another side of the building in Magic Kingdom. Work started in September when some scrim was placed on the side of the restaurant’s façade facing Fantasyland. This month, construction walls went up, also on the Fantasyland side.

Columbia Harbour House Refurbishment

More scrim and scaffolding went up behind the construction walls earlier this week, covering most of the façade between the Peter Pan’s Flight show building and a set of doors leading inside Columbia Harbour House.

Past the doors, another set of construction walls has been erected, leading to the bridge that crosses over the sidewalk outside Memento Mori.

Scaffolding wrapped in black scrim sticks a few feet out from the top of these walls.

So far, the work seems to just be a basic refurbishment of the façade, which resembles buildings one might see in a fairytale village or colonial America since the restaurant is technically located in Liberty Square.

Columbia Harbour House remains open during the exterior refurbishment. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on most days, but closes at 4:45 p.m. on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party event nights. It serves New England-inspired fare.

Dishes include a Lobster Roll, New England Shrimp Boil, Grilled Shrimp Skewer, Grilled Salmon, Sea Captain’s Fish Sandwich, Mixed Greens Salad, Chicken Strips, and Plant-based Crab Cake Sandwich. In addition to the standard French fries, guests can get clam chowder, green beans, hushpuppies, or rice as sides. The Happy Haunts Milk Shake is currently available for the Halloween season.
