The neon marquee at Sid Cahuenga’s One-of-a-Kind at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been replaced, removing “Antiques and Curios” and more from the design.

The Hollywood Boulevard staple is home to Disney PhotoPass. The top portion of the marquee, which bears the shop’s name, is the same. However, now the text directly below reads “Tinseltown Photos” instead of “Antiques and Curios.”

The text on the two stars has also been changed. The blue star on the left now reads “Disney PhotoPass” instead of “Hollywood.” And the orange star on the right reads, “Treasured Memories” rather than “TinselTown Treasures.” The former sign is pictured below.

The building previously sold Hollywood memorabilia, such as movie-used props and costumes, framed, autographed photos of Hollywood stars and more. It was based on a fictional story, created by Walt Disney Imagineers about Sid Cahuenga, a film aficionado who moved to Hollywood and began collecting Hollywood artifacts. His collection grew to the point that it took over his home, and became a shop. The name Sid Cahuenga is inspired by Sid Grauman, owner of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the park’s original icon, and Cahuenga Boulevard, a thoroughfare in Hollywood. The “Antiques and Curios” made sense when that’s what was being sold in the location. It has now been replaced to reflect the current Disney PhotoPass services provided within.

The yellow bulbs on the bottom of the sign remain, as do the multicolored lights adorning the building.

More Disney’s Hollywood Studios News

In other news at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a scale model of Disneyland as it appeared on opening day is now on display at Walt Disney Presents, the 50th anniversary medallions have been removed from most of the Fab 50 statues, and parking lot trams have returned after over three years.

There’s much ado over on Grand Avenue, as projection mapping was added to a scene in Muppet*Vision 3D, Miss Piggy was removed from the fountain, and construction carries on for a mystery project near PizzeRizzo.

Smaller projects around the park have been wrapped up as well. Scrim was removed from the Star Tours façade at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, revealing the refreshed “Star Wars” Endor forest mural. The broken entrance to Keystone Clothiers was reopened, though most of the damage has not been completely repaired.

The park is gearing up for the brand new, separately ticketed Christmas event: Disney Jollywood Nights.
