Yesterday was the grand opening of Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT. To celebrate the opening of EPCOT’s newest attraction, Spaceship Earth is lighting up the night with a special Moana-themed display.
Moana Spaceship Earth Light Display
The display first made its debut yesterday for the opening of Journey of Water, but without music. Tonight’s show did include audio.
The lights are set to “Your Welcome,” sung by Maui from the film. One of the light displays is of Maui’s own fish hook.
In another section, Spaceship Earth appears to look ablaze with fire-themed lighting.
The lights also form an image of a sun, with long, spanning beams swirling out.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Moana light show without some representation for Te Fiti. Her heart appears in the lights, as well. You can see Te Fiti up close in Journey of Water.
It’s unclear how long this display will stick around, so be sure to get out to EPCOT and catch it on Spaceship Earth while you can!
