Downtown Disney District is getting in the holiday spirit this year with nightly snowfall for the first time. But during the day, guests can also enjoy decorations like colorful Christmas trees throughout the District.
Downtown Disney District Decorations
There are small Christmas trees in various planters. Many are decorated with just one color of ornaments, like this all-red tree.
Some feature two colors, like the nearby red and green tree. There are also giant presents and nutcrackers.
The trees vary in height and the ornaments vary in size and shape. There are baubles, thin icicles, and tiny gift boxes.
Other trees are covered in all gold or silver ornaments.

Downtown Disney District is currently in the midst of a years-long reimagining. A recently revealed stage opened in the new Parkside Market area of the District in mid-November. Parkside Market will ultimately include Seoul Sister, Sip & Sonder, GG’s Chicken Shop, and a second-story bar.
Other future plans for the District include Din Tai Fung, a world-renowned Chinese restaurant known for its soup dumplings and noodles, Mexican cuisine by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán at Paseo and Céntrico, and the California-Cuban cheese rolls and pastries from Porto’s Bakery and Café.
In May, Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock announced an 18-month completion timeframe for the Downtown Disney District reimagining, which roughly sees it completed by the end of 2024.
When it comes to holiday celebrations, guests can celebrate with A Christmas Fantasy Parade and “Believe… in Holiday Magic” at Disneyland, and Disney Festival of Holidays, Viva Navidad!, and “World of Color – Season of Light” at Disney California Adventure.
